Ravi Agarwal is an experienced adviser whose key objective is to assist medical professionals throughout Australia to make smart, financial and business decisions to allow them to achieve their life goals and dreams.

In 2010, Ravi established MEDIQ Financial Services, a premier Financial Planning, Accounting, Investment, Insurance, Legal & Finance practice for medical professionals and their families. The business has grown organically to a team of 35, serving clients nationally.

Ravi has been recognised by the Association of Financial Advisers with the 2013 AFA Rising Star award, in recognition for his excellence in the advice industry and outstanding commitment to his clients, their community and the Medical Profession. He was also awarded ‘Multi-service Practitioner of the Year’ in 2015 and ‘Practice Principal of the Year’ in both 2014 and 2015 in the IFA Excellence Awards.

In 2017, under the leadership of Ravi, MEDIQ was awarded the AFA Practice of the Year – the highest accolade available for a practice in the financial advice profession.

Selina Agarwal

Insurance Services, Marketing & PR

Selina graduated with a Masters in Organisational Psychology and began her career as a Managing Consultant working with the Big 4 Accounting firms in the UK and major international clients. Her strengths and experience include training design, leadership development and project delivery and facilitation.

Over her tenure at MEDIQ, Selina has encompassed a diverse range of roles and responsibilities. She initially headed up the Personal Insurances division, where she managed the team and established business processes, all while ensuring optimal client experience. She was also proactive in working with clients on applications, supporting them during underwriting, right through to claims management. Her goal was to deliver a service that was client-centric: approachable, seamless and time efficient. Selina has also held positions in HR, Recruitment, Culture and staff training; with a particular focus on soft skills, time management and exceptional client service.

Her most recent responsibilities have been focused exclusively on Public Relations and aligning this with our marketing goals. She has successfully prepared and led MEDIQ into being recognised as a leader in the financial advice industry, with our most proud accolade being awarded in 2017 as ‘Practice of the Year’ by the Association of Financial Advisers.

Sam Belcher

Senior Bookkeeper - Accounting & Taxation

Sam Belcher looks after the Client Payrolls, Billings and Accounts Payable in Melbourne. He started in August 2018 & comes with much small business bookkeeping & payroll experience.

Mey Chua

Senior Accountant - Accounting & Taxation

Mey is a Senior Accountant in the Accounting & Taxation team with over 14 years’ experience in public practice. She has spent the majority of her career serving private clients and small business entities and self-managed superannuation funds.

Mey also spent time in the industry as a financial accountant within a fashion retail & warehouse company with an annual turnover of $40 million. With a great passion for accounting and tax, she strives to provide the best tax outcome possible for each client.

Barbara Irwin

Barbara brings an incredible energy and a wealth of experience to MEDIQ, with over 25 years within the financial industry both in New Zealand and Australia.

Her love of people and the passion to give her utmost, is an invaluable trait that MEDIQ have inherited over the last 4 years.

Barbara’s other interests are her family, spending time with her grandchildren and travel.

Eugene Loh

Senior Accountant - Accounting & Taxation

Eugene has more than 20 years’ experience in tax and accounting roles in various industries covering manufacturing, importing, retail and logistics. He was previously a finance manager in a multinational corporation and over the past 8 years, he has been working as a public practice accountant.

George Mandalis

With 17 years’ experience as a lender and 13 additional years as a Bank Officer, George’s focus is to help clients achieve their short and long-term goals. He has experienced many changes within the banking industry during his financial services journey, from the consumer credit code to the investment changes over the past 18 months. Having written in excess of $500,000,000 in lending over his career, George enjoys taking our clients one step closer in turning their dreams into reality.

Paul Pun

Director - Accounting & Taxation

Paul’s strategic approach and passion for the people he works with enables him to deliver a vital role that encompasses a holistic view of clients’ needs. Acting as a strategic business partner, Paul supports clients by highlighting and dealing with potential issues to best achieve desired outcomes. With an ability to solve complex financial problems and deliver solutions in an easy-to-understand format, Paul is regularly engaged to assist clients with:

Sam Roberts

CTO / Technology Strategy

Sam has led intranet and cloud technology transformations since 1997 within companies both large and small. At Sprint, he supervised the support and operations of 20 content management systems, serving 43,000 users and 19 million hits per month. He enjoys transforming business environments into digital workplaces that are highly secure and collaborative. He has served as Director of a Project Management Office (PMO), Director of an on-site Data Center, and is certified in UNIX and ITIL. With degrees in Organizational Information Systems and Organizational Administration, his focus is performance improvement and organizational transformation through people, process, and technology.

Alex Sutherland

Financial Adviser

Alex has been working in the Financial Planning industry for over 5 years and has been providing trusted financial advice since September, 2014.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Economics and Finance as well as an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. He is experienced in Self-Managed Super Funds as well as helping his clients formulate and implement customised financial plans.
